Yeah, if this place only had good contests I would not come here that often. Since it has cool people and news and stuff I love it. Probably should have mentioned it in my other post.
 
Above all, the community is respectable. As an avid gamer, if I'm not playing games, I like talking about them, but I prefer to discuss them with people who are both knowledgeable and civil. 
 
I'm going to be strictly honest. I came here from a link mentioning "Giveaway" but this forum seems like a very nice and enjoyable forum I could easily get into. I ticked the bottom option on the poll purely because it seemed to amuse me, put a smirk on my face.
 
I joined GF because it seemed to be the only forum I could find at the time of E3 where there weren't 12 year olds screaming "omg sony iz gay" or "omg xbox is wurse", these aren't direct quotes but you know the type. I also feel there is a good atmosphere on the site and everybody has mature opinions and respects everyone else. 

I also like the fact the site design is dark overall, means I can browse it at night without wanting to pull my eyes out after haha, so don't change it :)
