There's this particular saying that there's no place like home. How does that affect your love or hate for your home country? Do you believe that the government are doing enough to make you love or hate your country?

The biggest issue we have with our current government is that anything goes here. No respect for the rule of law and that is very bad.

There is a lot of free space in this country to improve, but it's a very shallow drift to the bottom with the number of people working and living to make my country better.

Tax, no health care, roads are all mangled everywhere, hard drugs are pretty much legal but jaywalking will get you tazed and shot by police, the govt steals money from you as well, and the weather.
It's the same pattern by politicians all over the world. It's like they all have a deep cult they decide to do the same thing all over the world.

Oh, here's something annoying with my country(Canada).

So My parents sold a place they owned since 1985 and they had to pay $90,000 in capital gain. So the following year it was almost divided by 2 and they both had to pay. Because they owed the money their CPP pension was revoked for the year. CPP as the the money that the govt has taken out of each cheque they earned since the 60s. They are not given an option to pay capital gain until the bill is provided so they automatically lose a year. So they go and pay the through the bank and my mother demands a receipts. Well, the bank(the govt) doesn't release paper receipts but they assured it's impossible it will go missing. So the following year my father gets a bill from the govt wanting his capital gain of $40K as if they didn't collect it. With interest on it. So my mother goes to the bank and it's like talking to walls. There is no one to call with the govt because the govt has no employees. Not only that but that means he didn't get his pension for ANOTHER year. My mother clears it up after about 30 phone calls. Well two weeks ago she got mail and it says he didn't pay AGAIN with two years of interest.... and yet again probably no CPP back for another year.

Is this an accident? NOPE. the Canadian and US govt pull have been pulling scams like this since the 90s. They do it all of the time with license renewals and other things.

And on a side note, the rich people don't pay tax. For example Trump(USA) paid $731 in tax in the past 5 years. My parents(Canadian) who are worth less than a million.... well, about $150K

Practically every govt system is a giant scam company used to extort money. CPS, fire protection agency, cops, medical, permits. Even the humane society with pets run around abducting pets to extort money.

the tax in canada is bazzerk.
13% for buying, around 33% for earning, 35% on hydro, 60% on water, property tax, they own the banks. Capital gain of 25%, duties, petro tax.

All the while there are cops solicitating tickets and other gov't companies blackmailing money.

Canada sucks and so does USA.

Want to know how bad Canada is. BRO, do you have a blueberry bush in your yard?
It's against the law to not register a garden.

OH, here's another example.

All across the entire planet people can insure motorycles by the month EXCEPT Canada. Since Canada has 4 month long winters they force you to get annual insurance.
Straight up ROBBERY in plain view.

I like the landscape though. My fourth favorite landscape in the world.

This is strange. Why would they force people to pay annually for something they don't enjoy all year round?

It's plain extortion and the government is getting away with it.

This is so unfair.
