Why is being a crime fighter a dream for some people?

I feel most people hate criminals who hurt and killed many people for their money, things, and other reasons. Some people dream that they can be a crime fighter like police officer, detective, soldier, and vigilante super hero like Batman who can capture and punish violent criminals before turning them over to the police. Some people may of been victims of crime or know someone who is a crime victim, so crime victims may want to seek revenge on criminals.

Being a crime fighter is easier these days because of technology. There are more people with portable video cameras and smartphones which they use to record HD videos of criminals committing crimes, so they can hand over the video evidence over to the police. In some countries, citizens are allowed to carry weapons like guns, stun guns, and pepper spray for self-defense, so some people may use their weapons to stop someone from committing a crime.

There are also some large semi-truck drivers like Semi-truck driver pulls out to stop high-speed chase who stopped high speed police car chases by blocking a criminals car with their large truck. I feel some truck drivers block a car because they don't want any innocent people being hurt in a high speed car crash during a police car chase.

That is one of the reasons. Some people may have been victims in the past, or they knew someone that was a victim. Some people just want to do it to help other people. Either way, everyone has their reasons for doing jobs like that.

Being a hero can be any child's dream easily. But after a while they will come to face the hard truth of reality.

Still some people just wouldn't give it up... That is all there is to it

I don't think people care too much about actually saving people. I do think the majority of people want to be crime fighters because they want to be a superhero with some cool super powers and gadgets.
