Why would anyone buy things like food from Amazon?

No, I'm not kidding, you can apparently buy cookies and the like from Amazon.com:

But why bother? It'd take so long to deliver I'd find it more conveniant to just head round to a supermarket or corner store. And the whole thing strikes me as just ridiculous sad and depressing...

I could understand why somebody would order specialty produce, like lychees or mangosteens, but generic cookies? No clue.

Even then, it'd be much better to order the food directly from the seller.

Well, there are some items which we couldn't get offline.
Like elaichi flavored biscuits and such. So, I usually order them using amazon.
