Nintendo's Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus titles have combined to sell over 43 million units since their launch years ago, so it's little surprise that Nintendo is keeping the series going on Wii U. "Wii Fit U" is on the way.

The game will have a calorie burn calendar that uploads to your Wii U, and will support a "Fit Meter" pedometer peripheral that you clip to your clothes when running outside and then bring back home to upload your runs into the game.

I laughed so much during this showing, the people look like idiots who weren't burning anything.

Nintendo is kidding themselves with this. If you want to exercise, get outside!
Play football or basketball. Easiest way.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. So, I guess all of the people that take classes at the gym or have workout DVDs aren't getting into shape? There are many ways to do it and if a person commits to the Wii Fit programs, they can lose weight with that.

Also, there are a lot of fat football and basketball players. Some of them are in the professional leagues.

There is value in Wii Fit.

This is very hit & miss. Nintendo made the mistake of not showing off more features other than that meter. Everything else was pretty standard; that is, whatever little they showed. Not a very good first impression, overall.

Work out DVDs - your on your hands and knees or you are moving your body around.

Wii fit = you have to stand on some board.

It has no value.

Both can make you lose weight. But Wii Fit is pointed to be more fun I guess? Though it doesn't matter to me lol I'll stay with my home gym.

I agree with DS. And the players aren't fat to be fat, they are muscular, and if they are fat in football, it is more than likely that they are a linebacker, or something like that. They are healthy.

Just because they "look" healthy doesn't mean they actually are though. Just on the outside lol. But ya, it isn't that worth it.
