Nintendo Wii Shop Channel and DSi Shop Are Back Online

YouTube channel GameXplain posted a video going into the details surrounding the Nintendo Wii and DSi shops becoming accessible yet again. The video mentions that even though the shops are open and able to be accessed on Wii and DSi consoles, purchases cannot be made on either shop since that feature had been discontinued for years now. That being said, players will still be able to access the shop to download any purchases they had already made when the shop was still fully functional.

That's pretty cool for anybody who wants to re-download titles! Won't make much difference to me though.

Good to know redownloading is available, but all I ever got on there were game demos that are still on there. Any free stuff on there anyways? Brings me hope that the 3DS might be like this too.

I always got big SD cards, so I never had to worry about deleting stuff.
