God I hate when machines do this. But apparently if there's a certain amount of time the console has been idle, it automatically shuts off.

It can be turned off as an option, but come on Nintendo, why did you think this was a good idea?

Why you don't trust N3DSC anyway I'm not sure, we've never made anything up before.

I know that, but I always prefer to read the actual article with all its details. And since you can turn the option off, I'm fine with it.

Well Nin, not everyone has an infinite pile of money which they can spend on electricity, so I think this would be beneficial to people like that. And it protects from overheating and such, and if it's optional, well then it's 100% acceptable.

Yeah, no reason to complain when you have the option to disable it.

I'll probably keep that option off. Maybe some people would use it, I guess it is energy saving, but dang, I'd be pretty upset if I left it for longer than I expected, then had it turn off on me in the middle of a game without saving it, especially if I was really far into it. But so long as I can change that I'm good.

Nintendo was having a time trying to keep the Wii U quiet, compact, and cooled. I'm sure this feature is to prevent a "red ring" type deal with the Wii U.
