Wii U to Support DS Handheld Games

Nintendo announced today that it plans to bring DS games to the Wii U's Virtual Console.

Details are scant, but Nintendo president Satoru Iwata explained that getting DS games, with their dual screen gameplay, on the Wii U GamePad has created a hurdle.

This is some good news, but at the same time if VC has a future it means Nintendo will have to use a large touch screen device with future systems.

I don't think we're going to see games like Pokemon on the VC. More stuff like Mario might make its way there which I'm not planning to get because I've already played what I wanted to play :/

Is there any pokemon games on the Wii VC? I would think they release them, they would sell big.
