It maybe difficult to find a young adult who never made any money online from selling their old things on eBay, paid surveys, or doing a service like driving for Uber or Lyft.

A lot of jobs may require workers to use the internet to work from home or at work. Retail stores which don't require the use of the internet for selling things maybe less common in the future.

A lot of young adults already use websites like eBay, Craigslist, Amazon Marketplace, etc to sell their things in exchange for money. There are also a lot of reward websites like Amazon Mechanical Turk, Swagbucks, Mypoints, Microsoft Rewards, etc which pay user money for doing simple tasks like using search engines to more complex tasks like .doing surveys. A lot of young people probably use reward websites to make a few extra dollars per month.

Many young adults are already driving for Uber or Lyft, working at Amazon warehouses, Twitch, YouTube, App stores, and doing other jobs for online companies.

I feel richer young adults with a lot of money may never earn money from the internet because they don't need or want more money from working on the internet because they are rich. But, poor to middle class young adults may work online to earn more money, so they can afford more expensive things like a Gaming PC which they not be able to afford if they are unemployed or not working at a job which pays them enough money to buy more expensive things.

Depending on how things go in the future, I wouldn’t be surprised that a ton of retail jobs goes to the way of the internet. So working online will be a primary means of pay, and You’ll be paid a regular wage, as opposed to selling random stuff on EBay or Craigslist.

There is actually a lot of people, most do stuff without making money online, if nothing else they just spend money.

I think there are websites which give you some money for shopping online, and using those reward cards on shopping sites give back giftcards when you spend enough money.

I feelnow with the Coronavirus lockdown in some countries are making a lot of people are working online to do their offline job like teacher, or earning money from websites like Swagbucks, Fivver, YouTube Partnership, etc.
