Will the industry go more retro

To cut costs and development time, do you think the game industry will go backwards and go back to simpler games?

I'd be okay with this! I love to see more 2D platformers too, and old school turn based RPGs more often.

I really do hope the industry goes backwards, things are getting wrecked by advancing and honestly, I don't need 5, 100 hour games to beat.

I can see less games coming out which push boundaries of hardware because computer components are getting too expensive.

I can see more Retro style games being released because retro games like Tetris, Pac Man, Mario, etc are well known, and a lot of peopl may find them fun to play.
