Will we ever get a good video game movie adaptation?

Okay, we all know that video game movies generally suck. The Mario movie was terrible, anything by Uwe Boll was terrible, the Resident Evil and Street Fighter movies were terrible. Heck, even Pixels was terrible, and that was merely based on video games.

So the record isn't good. But will it ever change? Will we ever get a movie based on a specific video game series that's actually seen as a good film in general?

No. Video game movies are never made to be good, they're made to sell the game it's based off. You think they'd try harder to make people buy the game, but whatever.

Well Wreck-It Ralph was pretty good even though it wasn't based on a single game. I did enjoy the lara croft movies.
