We all know the Nintendo Wii is sold everywhere and pretty much everyone has one or had one, but is the Wii's future all that bright? I honestly can't see much of a future for the Wii for many of the real gamers due to lack of good games. Sure super mario galaxy 1, 2, ect. SSB, and 3rd title games will keep the Wii going for none real gamers but is there any hope that the Wii will continue to appeal for us real gamers like the N64 and PS2 has been doing for years?

(when I mean real gamers, I am talking about the gamers who have been with nintendo since the nes, snes, and N64 days. When I mean none real gamers, just people who pick up a game or are just getting into the whole nintendo thing.)

So what are your thoughts?

They need to get some more classics out, Mario is nice and all but no DK, Fire Emblem(Or on the DS, I just want a new FE.) is ready for a new game as well. Star fox? it hasn't see the light of day since '06.
They have alot of good series to bank on that are ripe for the picking, but they have to get them out first.

I think the Wii will most likely, be become old one day, and kids will be enjoying virtual reality gaming, rahter than motion controlled gaming.

I think the wii so far has appeal for children. I myself or none of my teenage friends use our wiis anymore. We mostly have passed them down to younger siblings. I think until a move active way for children to entertain themselves come out the wii will stay. Or of course until virtual reality.

They could do with a few better games if there going to compete with the Xbox360 and PS3 but overall I think the games are pretty good.

I've been with Nintendo since the release of the NES. (Yeah I'm getting old)

I think it has the potential for sticking around, if the developers continue to make good games and maybe even step up some of the games. I loved Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, and Zelda on the Wii. They looked good and they were fun to play. I'd move some more games that suck you in and take some time to get through. The mini-games are great for parties and large groups, but I love in depth games.
