Never thought I be making this topic a week ago today (the magic of gaming news), so anyone here planning on getting the 2DS for any reasons?
 
No. I have a 3DS. Plus, the design is kinda poor IMO. I'm sure it has its advantages, but it's not my cup of tea.
 
For myself I am not too fussed. I actually prefer the DS to flip to be honest and with this one not doing I don't think I will be as keen. I am planning on getting on for my kids though to share for Christmas as they have been very interested in a lot of 3DS games but were never keen on the 3DS so having something like this where they can play those games is perfect for them.

No, I'm not buying a 2DS. I like 3D.
 
I'm not sure. I haven't owned a handheld gaming console since the Gameboy Advance, so it is unlikely I would get any handheld console including the 2DS. I will buy the 2DS if someone sold their used 2DS for $50 in the future.

If you did not have a 3DS XL and you were thinking about buying something to play 3DS games.. What would you have done?
 
I would save up for an XL. I have an ocd collector side of me so I would have to have the best possible version of whatever I am getting. That is why I try to buy games new when I can....
 
No. You can't put it in your pocket and carry it with you, so there is no good reason for me to buy one. I can't spend too much money on games either. It's not too hard to turn off the 3D on a 3DS.

there is still the accidental bumps of turning it on.
 
If I can remember correctly, one can turnoff the 3D in parental controls. The 3D was one of the reasons I even bought a 3DS. And the games, of cource.
