No way.
The internet connectivity is nothing to be proud of here.
There is no way, I would gt something like that for myself.

If an always online game console have many good exclusive games, work well on most internet connection, and the price of the console is affordable, I may get an always online game console. I can always sell the console on eBay once I am done playing all the exclusive games which are worth playing.

I, if by chance, won't but I fear one day in the future I simply will have to.

I feel most consoles maybe online only someday because users need to login to prove they own the game, and game console. Game companies are afraid of game piracy, and online copyprotection/DRM is one way of protecting their games from being pirated.

shame with that is once the servers go off, the game is mostly history.

That is a shame. But, some game companies are concerned about people stealing their games, so they feel always online copyprotection is necessary to protect their games from piracy.

Hopefully, there still be many offline playable games and consoles in the future.

Nope, the internet around the area that I live in has been faulty lately, some days I have a good connection, some days nope.. feels like dial-up. People have complained to city hall & it looks like a project of re-doing the wires underground will happen. . . eventually. haha
