The latest ComScore website rankings for December 2013 on desktop have been published. The list has Yahoo at the top of the most visited sites in the US during the month. The listing shows that Yahoo had 195 million unique visitors during December.

Yahoo still is one of the biggest news sites on the web, so I think this is the reason Yahoo has so many visitors from people who stop reading the news from newspapers, and watching TV news, and now gets most of their news from Yahoo News.
Yahoo Mail, and its other services are also getting better these days, so people maybe switching to Yahoo mail from hotmail, gmail, and other e-mail services.
I also use Yahoo Answers, and the answers are pretty good, and I get a fast response whenever I use Yahoo Answers. Plus, I enjoy getting answers from actual users instead of sites like eHow, About.com, and other sites which aren't very good sometimes.
