Theres something really interesting on the Yoshi fan page on Facebook that is monitored by Nintendo. Under the "FUN STUFF" section it shows screenshots of games involving Yoshi. The ones shown are: The two Yoshi Ambassador games for the 3DS, and the third shows Yoshi's Story. Is this coincidental? Think that Nintendo might be working on a new Yoshi's Story game for the 3DS? Think about it: Retro Studios is doing nothing right now - or so we think. Their last game was Mario Kart 7, helping with stages here and there. One of their last major games was Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii - showing how they are very well familiar with 2D side scrollers like Yoshi's Story. Some screenshots show Yoshi being ridden by baby mario. If they were to include screenshots of Yoshi games they would have given screenshots of Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario Sunshine, and others, but they don't.
Hopefully we can see a new Yoshi Story game for the 3DS at E3 2012. That was one of the only Nintendo games to make me cry as a child just because of the ending song - such a powerful game like that should definitely have a sequel that tugs on emotion. Maybe making the new generation of children tear at the end.
