But the thing is, Nukes don't have to impact the ground. Air detonations I think are worse. They'll certainly destroy/cripple any electrical grids for years! Those transformers are only made in like a couple places on Earth. Germany being one of them.

Perhaps, but rumor has it Netanyahu is dead. I've seen a bunch of AI content featuring him in the last couple of days. If he was still alive, certainly, he'd make a real appearance, wouldn't he?

Depends on how high is the missile when you destroy the missile. Air detonation is still much better than near the ground detonation. in the long run, in terms of its effect on the earth's soil and air detonation won't directly harm life in most cases. Above 100 km, you get an EMP that does not directly harm life, but will indeed fry many electric and electronic installations and the electric GRID itself like you said.
Between 10 km and 100km above the ground, it's fireworks without significant damage.

I honestly don't care anymore about Trump or the world besides my family and friends. Nothing I say or do will change anything. So I have given up on the human race...
 
The difference is with Trump it's very "self inflicted", because of the unnecessary war he started.
 
At least I found a gas station with prices consistently 10 cents cheaper than anywhere in the area!
 
I suspect that gas will go up again around Memorial Day weekend. Gas prices usually increase around Holidays, I hate to see it go up to $5 where I live... I already know it's probably that high in some states. Right now it's around $4.19 where I live, and about 10 cents more expensive the closer you get to St. Louis.

Yeah, I know I'm late to the reply, but considering it's now September, why not get an update?

To answer this, yes, the Grocery prices were inflated during Biden's term. I distinctly remembering cutting Coca Cola out of my diet when the price increased 50% within a three month period. The problem is that the reasons are different. Under Biden, the costs increased because of Supply Chain weakness. We were still in recovery from a global pandemic. Today under Trump, prices are high because of an unnecessary war with Iran that's closed TWO straits now that deliver fuel throughout the world. Everything is moved by fuel in one form or another. Human Civilization is highly dependent upon fossil fuels. Without it, agriculture collapses, and billions of people WILL starve.

Hopefully, Trump will be the end of the Republican/Conservative Party in this country, but seeing the Far-Right regimes taking hold of power throughout the rest of the world, I'm not feeling to good about it. I do know, however, that the world WILL face another Depression era, much worse than the one that happened in the 1930s, and most of the world's nations will be dragged down into it.

Fascism is the end result of Capitalism. It's the death of the economic model, when Capitalism can no longer sustain itself. The currency implodes because it's not moving. Sitting in a bank vault in the Cayman Islands just makes that paper rot away into nothingness. Meanwhile, the labor force that made Capitalism function will vanish as the majority of people starve.

And let's not forget to include our old buddy [Super] El Nino, forcing rapid climate changes throughout the planet. Agriculture is in serious jeopardy, and the morons in Office are yacking about airline pilot furries and installing State-Controlled Media. Every book I read in high school declared that this form of media control is bad. Hey look. America, we're the BAD guys now. And I seriously doubt anybody is going to do anything. Why should we? It's probably too late anyway. Sure, we can bolt on a steel plate onto that hole, but the ship is already mostly underwater and sinking from the additional water weight.
