This can stop all the doom and gloomers that kept saying he was running for a 3rd term after his trolling, now.
He won't run for the 3rd term via the normal Presidential election route, he will try to use the other methods, he tries to copy Putin. Putin also said to the public once back in 2005 he wouldn't run for president again, but we all know what happened then and Putin is still the president of Russia. Unless Trump dies or he is super sick physically he will try everything to be the next president again, you can't trust what he is saying, he said that because his approval rating on all sectors are low ATM and also he likes to flip flop on a whim. Before he said he should be next Pope albeit half jokingly because of course he won't be able to become the next Pope, point is that's one of the many showings of his power hungriness. No other normal president would say something like that and he is afraid to go to jail. Even a normal president is very susceptible to the lure of presidency/presidential powers . Like Biden. Biden when he won he said he would not run for another term and we all know he changed stance and tried to run for President again, even when he's losing the polls he kept forcing it and said only God could make him quit the race until eventually he relented and let Harris took over because of the sheer amount of internal pressure from his own party mainly and the public.

The thing with Russia though is that it's not a democracy so of course they can bend the rules as they see fit when it comes to elections, and if you run against Putin you run the risk of being thrown in prison, it happened to the last dude who opposed him in their last election. Shit like that would never fly in this country.

True in Russia. And shit like that would never happen in the States under normal circumstances. Which is why trump is planning to use another kind of shit that could change the normal circumstances and still works in democratic principle albeit really really forcing it. Installing judges that favor Trump in the supreme court and then have JD vance run for the next president and trump as vice and later if JD wins have JD resigned and Trump be the next president. Though of course does not mean the plan has 100 percent chance of working. But Trump will try it anyway.
