Wow, this means about 1 billion of 7 billion people which is about the world population in the world has downloaded/played Angry Birds unless there are a lot of repeat downloaders which means less people downloaded Angry Birds. I wonder how long it will take Angry Birds to reach 2 billion downloads if it happens.

This is crazy and some people might gonna hate after saying that I DON'T LIKE ANGRY BIRDS. Sorry people! I can't seem to find anything fun in that game and though I enjoy the larger gender of bubble popping, smashing and so on, this game does not appeal to me at all.
 
That's crazy that Angry Birds game has been downloaded over 1 Billion Times. I love this game as well and I'm not going to lie I have been hooked on this game ever since. This game at first I'm not even going to lie looked kind of stupid at first but then I started playing the game and really got the hang of it. I am not completely shocked that this game hit so big with the customers it is a very great game to play as well as for kids. This game is something that will help the kids get a better understanding in math skills as well as learning there colors. It's great for kids that are visual learners.
 
A billion. Wew. Supposing they only sold it for cent, they'd still earn whopping millions. haha. I'm a fan so I wouldn't mind spending a few cents to buy sequels to the game, though. The new one that recently went out was really different from its predecessor (AngryBirds Space). But still it is fun to play, even if it takes ages to finish it. :grin:
 
It technically says "1 billion downloads". Doesn't say those who played it actually liked it lol. I'd say 50% of that actually liked it/are fans.
 
I really like playing Angry Birds and I think that it has been downloaded for 1 billion times because when a person gets a phone and says let`s play play a game, this is Angry Birds. What I want to say is that this is the most popular game on the market.
 
I can't fathom how Angry Birds has become so successful. I mean, it is a pretty fun little game, but it is nothing revolutionary. This just goes to show how powerful word of mouth is and why so many companies are into viral ad campaigns.
 
Well you have to look at all the platforms it's available now. Close to 7. And then the different titles and the redownloads. This game has been downloaded about ten times in my house on different devices. This is still an amazing feat.
 
I was very late on the Angry Birds bandwagon, but once I actually started playing I could see how people have taken to it. I've enjoyed playing it and the first couple of months with it, I spent many a long night playing it. I still haven't played Space because I'd rather finish up the other versions I have first.
 
That's an impressive milestone. I don't see what's so great about Angry Birds. It's fun for like 5 minutes but then it's just annoying.....I can't tolerate more then 5 minutes of the game before it gets to me and every new version they put out is basically the same game just re-skinned slightly....not worth paying for if you already own it.
 
I can definitely believe that Angry Bird has been download over a billion times. Even my two year old can play it, although she doesn't get three stars every time she does understand the concept. Because they offer so many versions you never get bored. Who knew throwing a bird across a screen at pigs could be so fun. The main point of creating a gaming application is so that people will buy it and keep coming back for more. All of these games are about making money with something buyers will enjoy. Angry Bird creator should continue to create more version because, it truly is a great gaming concept.
 
That's just insane, if they made $1 off every download that means they made 1 billion dollars off of a game that probbaly cost less then $10k to make. Who ever invented it is one rich dude!

This is probably the most overrated game ever! I tried to get to the Angry Birds hype when it was still quite new but I didn't get any type of enjoyment from it. All you have to do is to slingshot a bird over different obstacles in order to hit designated target. I can't understand why a lot of people say that they're enjoying this game. They're rating the Angry Birds games as high as 5/5! It's probably one of the greatest mysteries of all time.
 
I agree Drake! I tried to get into it to and just couldn't. It was fun for about the first minute and then I was over it. My mom loves it and my boyfriend too, but what I really don't understand is all the spinoffs. Angry birds 2, angry birds Rio, angry birds space... etc etc etc... I mean, once you've played one you've pretty much played them all right? It seems people either love or hate this game. I wasn't really impressed.

Woah man that's serious number right there. It was all about the initial success the game had and the high level of marketing they did with t-shirts and printed articles and stuff. In my opinion the latter games of Angry Birds were just spin-offs of the original but people still kept buying the ludicrous in-app purchases!
 
1 billions downloads is a huge milestone for them. I am not a really big fan of the game. I mean, it's not that it don't like the game, but I only find the game fun for a short amount of time. I just can't play the game for a long period of time, it just becomes boring to me. Though a lot of other people really like the game, so good for them.
 
That is a lot of downloads, I can I am not part of it though. I do play the game but through Facebook.

Dude I agree with you. The first Angry Bird game was good. It was new and sort of revolutionary. Due to the spike in popularity, they completely pushed all their money into this franchise of a game. I really do not find it fun anymore because all the other versions are basically the same. Some mechanics are different, but still it is not that original. 

Due to the creativity from other developers from other mobile games, Angry Birds is out shadowed in originality and quality. Angry Bird is a classic for sure, but I really do not think that it would have made it this far. 
 
Lol I think it is really amazing how a game such as Angry Birds has been so successful. I admit, it's a neat little game and it's cool and all but wow. That's quite an accomplishment for a mobile game. Although, I think they're really trying to make the most of the Angry Bird stuff with all the new games like the racing one and that RPG.
