Now that's humor I can appruciate.

Well to be fair, there are some points to be made without having to get into a fight.

The PS vita (in my opinion) is clearly the better console. This is because of it's hardware, it's (mostly) mature game titles and the treu improvements on the handheld device. You can either agree or disagree, but it's my experience with the system.

Stereotypes die hard, bob. Fact of life.

But truth be told, when two weeks ago I was at my local game store I considered both these devices. I went home with the 3DS. Why? Simple. I own a psp and although it was a nice and strong device and triumped over the first nintendo DS (again in my opinion) it lacked content and mostly soul.

The device never gave me a full gaming experience which I want to have from a handheld. 2 specific titles came very close, but they had isseus of their own (I am referring to birth by sleep and the third birthday, both for psp)

So I was not confident enough about Sony to buy a ps vita. The 3DS however, well let's give one example Mario.. It's a legend it's lovely to play and has a lovely soul in it.

This discussion is clearly opinion based but so is every discussion. My opinion? The 3DS wins. Why? Because well, there is a platform with active users and a large support community, but more important. It has games I love to play. And that's all that matters to me. So the ps vita loses this one. Not because it's really bad.

It's just not living up to the expectations I have for a console. And if it does, well then it's father the psp ruined the experience in advance for me.

How about you guys? How do you think about this kind of stuff?
This basically summarizes my experience, too. I said it before that neither console is bad and that it all comes down to what you like. I chose the 3DS... obviously.

You have to realize that these are stereotypes for a reason. Even if the ps vita and the 3ds have equal amounts of mature and family friendly games, it doesn't matter. What matters is that nintendo's systems are more well known for having quality casual and family friendly games, and sony is more well known for having mature games.

When I bought my 3ds, I wasn't looking to buy mature games in specific, but I knew there would be some I would enjoy.

If I tell you there are more White people than Black people in the world, does that mean there are no black people in the world?
If I tell you there are more M Games in the PS Vita than M Games in the 3DS, does that mean there are no M Games in the 3DS?

No, it just means there are more white people than black people, dealwithit. That there are more M rated games in the PS Vita, or AT LEAST people think so.

Well, it's also what is being advertised when this is a commercial for 3DS and this for PS vita you clearly see the images that are given to customers by the ones who created the devices. It's not just in general what the impression is whe have. It's the one we are being given. So, yes, people generally think the 3DS is less mature in games. But with these commercials.. Can you really blame them?

I'm not saying that the Vita has less M-rated games or anything. I just want you to look past the stereotypes and realize that the Vita isn't just for mature gamers; it's for anyone.

-Lets see: I'm a parent who wants to buy a birthday present to his little 9 year old son, what should I get him?
The pricy PS Vita with more % of M and T rated games, and can easily be broken by a little kid,
OR
The less pricy 3DS with more % of E games, that is more durable, and is marketed for children?

Should I get the one that features some old guy who shoots everyone with a gun, or the one with Mario, jumping on evil Goombas while talking to Toads?

There are plenty of E-rated games on the Vita. And the Vita is rock-solid; in fact, the 3DS has been regarding as cheap-feeling, not the Vita. You seriously don't know what you're talking about, do you?

More kids are going to want the Vita anyway, if this shit is anything like the PSP; everyone I knew had one.

You live in a strange town, my friend.
Really? Around here nobody has or even really likes the PSP. It's Pokemon all day every day.
Same where I live. All the kids are hyped about the 3DS and my friends and I also overlooked the vita for the 3DS, and we are 15-17 years of age.

Even when it was popular, I've seen just one kid with a PSP. I still see lots with a DS, sometimes even a GBA.

The sales really prove your point.
The only kids who would want a Vita are the same ones who want CoD.
In other words: I'm calling all the kids who want a Vita a retard.

The Vita is a nice console, but you're saying that all kids are going to want the Vita over the 3DS.
Look at the sales, the 3DS is selling tons more.
