Apple Launches New 9.7 Inch iPad

The new tablet replaces the iPad Air 2. It has a 9.7 inch display and is simply called the iPad.

The biggest change is that it packs the 64-bit A9 processor which first arrived with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

The base 32GB Wi-Fi only model costs $329 while the Wi-Fi and Cellular model with 32GB storage costs $459.

I think $299 would be a better price instead of $329 which seems somewhat more expensive than similar sized tablets.

But, I feel 32GB is not enough space for users who use a few big apps, games, and use their iPad to record and view photos, and video.

I think the lack of a MicroSD card slot will make a lot of people not get it, and 32GB of storage is not enough storage for users who want to use a few big games, and apps, and carrying many files on their iPad.

Am I the only one who's getting tired of Apple just remaking the same old device, changing the features, forcing you to buy an adapter because they changed the charging ports, and charging you double what they did the year before? Just wondering.

It is annoying that Apple change the charging port, and the need to buy expensive converter adapters to use older accessories like USB flash drives on the Macbook Pro, and 3.5mm headphones on the iPhone 7.

But, I think re-makes of old devices like iPads and iPhones are not always a bad thing. Remakes usually cost same price, or have a slightly lower price like the 9.7 inch iPad which cost $329 which cost less than a iPad 2 32GB from the pasts which cost hundreds of dollars more in the past, and had slower performance, and less features. The iPhone SE is like the iPhone 5S , but with a better screen, camera, and faster performance. The price of the iPhone SE is the same or lower than the original iPhone 5S. Re-makes also sometimes add more features like more storage, hardware fixes for problems like overheating, slightly better performance, and better battery life.

I'm fine with Apple remaking the same old devices since their devices are pretty good. I just wish they didn't cost so much.
