Are there too many different RAM stick capacity sizes like 512 MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB?

Yes, I feel there are too many sizes of RAM, and it maybe better for companies to just to release a few small sizes like 4GB and above, and a few large sizes like 8GB and above sizes sticks of RAM instead of releasing many different sizes of RAM sticks.

Yeah there is a bit much, though once you cross over 8GB, all laptops are considered PC gaming.
