1 player works but the dynamic feels different. Totem is useful to move them all in one go, hahah.
Still I miss the "follow me" instruction. You have to manually process each and move them near to you. It becomes quite tedious and if you don't have quick reflexes or tend to select the wrong doll in a hurry, boss battles can become quite challenging.
Is that really as good as playing with people you know?
I can't answer in comparison with friends (I need friends with the game!

) but so far I have had fun with it. I haven't found any jerk yet and even the mistakes we do seem honest and get me laughing out loud. The puzzles are not very difficult in theory, it is the execution what might come problematic, especially when you want to instruct one of the players to use their item. It is still fun to see how we manage to communicate our intentions to the rest and how quickly we oblige.
I honestly find the multiplayer mode fun, and the icons seems to be enough to encourage team work and communicate simple ideas. Anyway, I'd love to try with some friends as well.
Overall online has been a good experience. The disappointing side is the frigging friend tokens, needed for some outfits and just obtainable if you... I am pretty sure you can guess what i need to do for that, which feels unfair. Another thing is that very occasionally you will find the dreaded lag.
