I am definitely purchasing this, and seeing as I am not trading in my old 3ds I can easily transfer my system information. And besides I own every other Nintendo system, why stop here?

It seems to me like the 3DS XL is especially worth getting since I am all but positive that the 3D effects on a bigger screen will be mind-blowingly, eye-poppingly fantastic...

There is no other system (handheld or not) in the world that can display 3D effects like the N3DS, after all. So why not enjoy it on a bigger screen?

By the way, check out this unboxing video! I don't really understand why they complain about no AC adapter, though. Anybody who owns a DS, DS Lite, DSi, or 3DS, already have one!! I'd rather Nintendo keep the price down...

Anyway, but the unit itself looks awesome in my opinion:

Only if you own a DSi, DSi XL or 3DS. The DS and DS Lite used different AC adaptors.
I myself only have a 3DS of those consoles, and if I were to get a 3DS XL, I would trade in my 3DS. I would have to trade it in with the AC adaptor it came with (obviously), so then I would no longer have one. Although I can just pick up a cheap third-party one from eBay for £2, so it doesn't really bother me.

Oh ok. Wasn't really sure about that, thanks for clearing that up!

Well, still, I don't mind Nintendo NOT including an AC adapter this time around. Because the majority of gamers already have one, and I'd rather they buy an extra one rather than there being millions or extra adapters laying around unused. Not just from the profit standpoint for Nintendo, but also from an enviromental standpoint (yes, that too).

This is in German, but nice video!

Sooo, after watching some hands-on videos, I'd say the new system actually looks pretty good, especially because no more fingerprints. Still, I have to try it out myself first.

Why would you PAY for the same product twice $ I fiqured the point of having the portable console was for it to be small and not LARGER$

Portable stuff doesn't have to be small, it just has to be portable not pocket size.
^^^^^^ THANKS! After that explanation I don't want to hear more bitching about the size.

Nintendo spoiled this kids with the darn Gameboy Pocket, now they expect everything to be smaller.

BTW, the GBA Micro is awesome.

Im planning to get the Nintendo 3DS XL on release date, but that is if they have silver available for the US. I have $128.85, but I am trying to save my money for it.

Uhm what? You're saving up your money, but you're saving your money for it?

Might get it sometime..

Does anyone know if a black version of the 3DSXL will make it to the U.S.? I keep seeing it in different adverts, but good old Gamestop only has the machine in red and blue. I will definately get the 3DSXL, but I want it in black because, at least to me, its easier on the eyes and actually improves the screen image because black doesn't reflect ambient light the way the other colors do. Also, I will wait until there is some infrastructure for the machine itself, in the form of screen protectors and a case for it.

There is no black 3DS XL yet, but the interior of the red and blue ones are black.

Oh....well, perhaps in the future? The silver one is very nice-looking too, hopefully, a solid black unit will come eventually, knowing Nintendo, every color of the rainbow will be out in due course...if one can stand the wait...

If there is silver in America on the day the 3DS XL is released, I am buying it! If not, I hope I don't have to wait very long.
