Capcom has confirmed that it will be remaking more Resident Evil games, but it's not revealing which ones yet.

Speaking at a PlayStation partner awards event in Japan, Capcom's Yasuhiro Ampo was asked if more Resident Evil games were going to get remade in the same vein of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4. "Yes, we’ve released three remakes so far and they have all been received very well," he said. "Since it allows a modern audience to play these games, it is something I am happy to do as someone that loves these older games, and we want to continue doing more."

Ampo continued, "What game we will remake in the future is something that we would like to announce in the future, so please look forward to it." He also talked about how there's no way to know whether a remake will be critically well-received, but player feedback and opinions have been important in developing them.

While we don't know which Resident Evil game Capcom will remake next, some possibilities include Code Veronica or the original Resident Evil, as well as Resident Evil 0 or Resident Evil 5.

Do they need remasters?

Chris Redfield is next. About time.

DuskGolem has also claimed that the next Resident Evil remake will be RE5 and will be released in 2026, suggesting that Capcom will skip Code Veronica and continue only remaking the numbered entries.

Urgh.

Regarding Price Capcom will also be pricing their games 70 bucks starting next year.

Read from eurogamer:

There are also listings for Resident Evil 5 on PS5 – the description says there's been "new technology developed specifically for the game, as well as incredible changes to both the gameplay and world of Resident Evil", suggesting it's not a mere remaster – and Code Veronica, although it's unclear at this stage if that's a port or a remaster.
