Nintendo again abandon the stage last year for another online Direct Video and showed and promised a lot to their fans. Despite showing a bunch of games, the late and former Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata had to apologize for the showing, his last public action. But did they keep their promises? Kotaku runs it down.

Unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo brought pretty much everything to the public and pushed out a lot more games than the other two. Hopefully they can make this year just as fruitful.

As a huge Nintendo fan, it's debatable that they had a great year between last year's E3 and now. Splatoon and Fire Emblem Fates were well received and huge successes and the Smash DLC was popular. For me, that is all I need as I play Smash literally everyday. But if I am being honest, I can't say that they had a better year than the other companies. It was a great year for me, but that isn't going to be the case for most people at large.
