Not talking about some super popular cultural phenomenon stuff like pokemon, the regular releases....do they make any money from outside of japan to care? I think some anime producers do and some don't because some shows don't try to cater to anyone outside of japan and some (MHA) seem like they're made to cater to some foreigners.
Probably not. I know when I'm creating something, I have a vague, general audience in mind. Not really zoned in based on region of the world. Most anime will premier in Japan only. Maybe if a title becomes super popular, a sequel may be written that caters towards a more foreign audience, but I still feel this is unlikely.
