I find it very frustrating being asked to be put on hold when I'm talking with a customer service representative on call. I rather you leave the line open and do whatever you want to do than put me on hold with the silly songs playing in the background.
I dislike being put on hold so much. Earlier today I had to call my doctors regarding blood test results as it had been a week since I had the blood taken to be tested and I was put on hold for 4 minutes whilst the receptionist spoke to the doctor only to find out, they want to take more blood which they took today.
No I hate losing my train of thought while on hold and then sounding like a nervous idiot by the time the call resumes.. this isn't usually the case with people that I know, but rather with people I am doing business with.
My brother told me about how he slept off on while he was on hold. He's the type who can sleep off easily when they're not doing anything and he snores a bit. Imagine when the call resumed and the person on the other end was hearing him snore
