The PSP was a big step forward for Sony back in the day and provided the mobile gaming experience that was otherwise non existent at a time where smartphones either didn't exist or couldn't run 3D games and the same applied to tablets, so the PSP excelled. I remember all the "cool kids" or "rich kids" having PSP's back in school and looking back at them today, they were quite impressive, were.
Today a family member visited my house and their son, to my surprise, pulled out an old PSP. It surprised me when I realized just how thick and bulky it is and how the display is so dim, low-res and smaller than your average smartphone. The games understandably didn't look good compared to smartphone games today either. It just shows how far we have come in just 10-15 years.
Do you still play on one of these things? I know the PS Vita is still considered pretty good, but the unreasonably high prices of games ( at least where I live, ) a lack of games available and the much more affordable smartphones that are better in every way other than input methods kind of diminish their appeal. I guess they're now more of a relic or something less wealthy people use to satisfy their gaming needs.

. The main reason I still need my PSP is for a severely underrated game that not enough people have played. Level-5 (Professor Layton, Fantasy Life, Dark Cloud, and some other stuff) released a turn-based strategy RPG called Jeanne d'Arc. The plot was kind of goofy at times but the game was SO fun! Jeanne d'Arc is only on the PSP so I'll always keep the console around. I really do recommend the game, definitely try it if you like games like Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics.
