If Sony doesn't release a Playstation 1 mini or Playstation 2 mini, I think Nintendo will be the only very popular mini console maker.

Nintendo sold a lot of NES Mini, SNES mini, and other mini consoles. I think when Nintendo release the N64 mini, it would sell out because the N64 was very popular because of games like Golden Eye, and Super Mario 64.

The Nintendo Switch can also be consider a mini console because it is smaller than the PS4, and XB1, and the Switch has a lot of buyers, and was sold out for a long time.

Pretty much since they hold both the history fame and the fact their games can be added to such a small console. Once you hit the PS1/N64 era games are starting to become too big to be worthwhile.

There are 256 GB SD Cards, but adding such a large SD memory card onto a mini console will make it very expensive where users will be more likely spend a little more money for a PS4 with a larger 500GB hard drive, and faster performance.

The one reason Nintendo can push the mini NES/SNES is because its small and cheap (plus it comes with enough storage to hack more games onto it), they will lose that once it gets bigger in price.

There are a lot of people who are willing to pay a lot of money for a NES Mini on eBay, so a more expensive Nintendo Mini console with more storage may sell many consoles.

Really one could spend about $40AUD for a 64GB SD card so it wouldn't cost that much more but if you buy in bulks that price would go down further.

The price of memory cards may go up if there is a shortage of memory cards because Nintendo bought most of the large size memory cards. I think the price of memory cards maybe more expensive if Nintendo, and other companies are buying a lot of memory cards at once.
