I think Elon Musk could make Twitter better.

He could add online web browser games to Twitter, online web apps, and hire content creators to post entertaining or informative content to Twitter which may cause more people to spend more time on Twitter.

Seems like right now it as he has laid off staff and it seems like Twitter is facing lawsuits from employees who were laid off and who know what else that the public doesn't know yet.

Tbh, that place needed a shakeup beforehand anyway.

It’s weird how people talk mad shit about Twitter as a company, and a community, but now that they got bought and things are changing, now people are sympathetic to it.
 
All he did was fire the staff (some whom he's even asking to come back now to work 84 hour shifts), destroy twitter's credibility by selling the check marks, get rid of moderation turning it into a free for all, and is now crying about advertisers now leaving the platform. He tried to weasel out of the deal when he saw what he was getting into but his cocky ass got forced into it. He has no plan to make twitter profitable and the execs he fired made out with their multi million dollar severance cheques from a company that was hemorrhaging revenue. Anyone who thinks he's somehow some genius 'saving' twitter is just a plain dumb or high off that cool aid he was selling.

I really think money should never motivate social media like it has for so long. There needs to be some free will otherwise things come off as forced and ruled by a mob. He's not wiping Twitter off the face of the Earth either like you are making it sound like.
 
Problem is, Twitter was not making a profit so tough decisions have to be made. Not easy to lay staff off but sometimes it has to be done.
 
The tweeter's problems started a long time ago. Now he is waiting for the new owner a lot of work to make the company profitable again.

As I said, the mob is basically a bunch of rules and money that prohibits free speech. Servers can run on ads and the layoffs are for the employees that aren't cooperative. The ones that are left should find ways to ban all this illegal stuff or just boot Hollywood execs off the platform or change the TOS.

You get to pick one, 1) having companies willing to sponsor you or 2) allowing hate speech. No ifs and buts. If your platform turns into 4 or 8 chan (It inevitably always does), it directly turns your sponsors away because no one wants to be associated with it. You only need to check the long list of celebrities who've dropped big names because they said or did something to tarnish their brand name. Sure you would probably still have gambling ads, crypto scams, porn ads and the like still willing to advertise, but at that point you can just admit I'm right.

Also it's odd that Elon didn't just create a new social media with free speech and if it was such a great never thought about idea before it should have become an overnight hit and in a few years maybe overtake twitter? Odd why he needs to buyout on an already established platform built on the rules he dislikes so much? Maybe it's been tried before but you've never heard of them 12 Social Media Platforms that Honor Freedom of Speech and User Privacy - DreamLight.com because no one other than a certain small demographic wants something to do with them and are doomed to failure??

There's still hate speech on Twitter I don't see your point. Like they canceled Trump and hated him and that was acceptable to them.

There is still hate speech, but a lot of folks that are back now understands that anything they say might be used against them.
 
Well since Twitter is funded by the FBI as a subsidiary there is no problems with it making money.

Elon backed that up some days ago.. The Government pays Twitter and even other social media sites to censors information from the public.
