PS5 Final Fantasy XVI Discussion

So Best buy wasn't giving me a steel book case for my pre-order, decided to return it for now and I'll grab it used later from Gamestop with a gift card that I have burning a hole in my wallet.
 
Good plan game not worth the full $ 70 tag anyway imo.

People too busy gushing over the Super mario RPG remake make to worry about other RPGs lol.

Indeed. Super Mario RPG Remake Preorders are really good on Amazon. Beating FF 16 by a very longshot lol

Hideki Yasuda, an analyst at Toyo Securities, commented that the decrease in sales for Final Fantasy XVI is a really severe result and it will be impossible to increase them without a significant price drop. Yasuda added that, for the most part, this failure is a result of pre-release marketing and the game itself being so different from past Final Fantasy entries that consumers left the title behind.

I think it was just a terrible idea to put the person in charge of a large, popular MMO game to also be in charge of this game as well.

not well enough, because Yoshi P and co. aimed to get more people to get into the FF franchise by making FF 16 an action game to the point GOWR is more rpg than FF16, but it did not happen, even less people played the game lol also ff 16 did not cause many new Ps5 console buyers like GOWR ps5 bundle did.

game is beaten by Dead Island 2 in sales, Dead Island 2 sold around 2.5 million copies I think and Re4 Remake is around 4 million copies i think:

I know I miss them, kept things more tactical and had to think instead of button mashing.
 
Baldur's gate 3 is a turn based rpg and it already sold 2.5 million from steam early access pre order on steam alone. pretty much obliterated Yoshi-P's statement on turn based rpg is dead lol and read from games radar Bg 3 is currently no 3. best preorder in UK for Ps5 too.
