maybe before the war of heroes, when Sothis is still fully alive and not yet "killed" by Nemesis. Dietrich and Theodora look Agarthans too.

Wonder if this time we get to choose one of the 4 main characters shown as the MC instead of playing as another MC character like Bayleth in 3 Houses. I'd probably pick Dietrich as the MC. He looks cool and sort of like Alucard in the Castlevania games too lol

They all have good designs.
During the Sothis scene, it's in 1st person view. Wonder if Sothis is talking to player avatar again like Bayleth though. If so then that means the 4 main characters shown are like Dimitri, Edelgard and Claude only this time we have 4 instead of 3.
Wonder if Dietrich is connected to Mercedes. It looks like his weapon has the crest of Lamine.

I hope it just has one storyline, going through many kind of sucks.
Well you could always just pick one and roll with it without replaying the game again.
In this pic Cai is a green unit while Leda is one of the player's unit i.e. blue unit and all 4 main characters can access storage, in another pic Cai is a blue unit. So that means you get to choose one of the 4 main characters in the trailer as the MC or maybe the other blue unit in this pic is a customizable player MC avatar character like Bayleth. Or it's like Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn where you switch between different MCs depending on the story progression.

The story begins in a gigantic arena filled with an excited crowd. A man proclaiming himself the Divine Sovereign announces the start of the Heroic Games–and the strength and beliefs of various characters will clash.
Here’s some information on four of the warriors participating in the Heroic Games.
A young boy from the countryside who joined the Heroic Games, where skilled warriors gather, to help his father. He’s skilled with a lance and can also fight while riding tamed animals.
A noblewoman who leads a powerful army. She’s also strong herself, able to dispatch several armoured foes in a single blow. During actual combat, she can launch attacks with the support of her army.
A swordsman characterised by his good looks and long hair. He speaks in a detached way, but his words are often aggressive. During battle, he can use an ability that lets him teleport, ignoring obstacles.
A woman who captivates all with her alluring dances. Her words reveal a strong sense of conviction. During battle, she can use instruments and songs to call forth Demonic Beasts.
Besides the four shown, other characters also appear in the trailer, engaging in fierce combat. How will the Heroic Games turn out?
Also, there’s someone who looks a bit familiar…

She's probably related to this guy lol or perhaps she/he is the Mc avatar character that could be male or female. Green haired chacters could mean related to Sothis and during the sothis scene in the trailer it's in Mc first person view, hmm I wonder...

Read fan theories on Dietrich:
-I think this is unlikely but its hard to confirm or refute your theory either.However, I do think this is an excellent story idea. After all, the only solid evidence that any given 3H character is a descendant of the 10 Elites is their crests. It would be an amazing twist, that also doesn't outright contradict anything, for Dietrich to be revealed as Mercedes' true ancestor instead of Lamine. A story where Dietrich would work so hard to kill Lamine for her part in the massacre, only for his descendants to be associated with Lamine due to having the same crest would be a rather tragic conclusion. (In other words: great story telling)
-From my understanding/prediction, and assuming this is a prequel with continuity, he's probably a descendant of Dimitri or Jeritza with some redemption mission or vengeance but still has nobility to care for his followers. He seems the most interesting of the batch because of how little we see of him.
-"And now warm blood is served in a cruel cup."It could just be Dietrich being edgy, but the Chalice of the Begginings uses blood. And it’s connected to the Apostles’ crests (3 out of 4 showed up in the trailer). And the coliseum is the best "harvest" event to do so.I wouldn’t be surprised at all if all this is related to the resurrection of Sothis (or the recovery of her power, if we assume we’re in the era when she’s hibernating) or to the creation of new Nabateans.
-The first shots of Dietrich in the Fortune's Weave trailer show him on a boat. He’s noticeably paler than almost everyone around him, which suggests he’s from another land. It’s possible Dietrich is from Fódlan and traveled to the site of the Heroic Games to compete, while the rest of the cast comes from the new setting.
Another sign the game might not take place in Fódlan is the narrator at the start of the trailer. He calls himself a Divine Sovereign and has light green hair and pointy ears, which suggests he’s a Nabatean like Sothis and Rhea. The only odd part is his blue eyes, since every other Nabatean shown has had green eyes.
The title Divine Sovereign is very similar to Lumera’s title of Divine Dragon Monarch in Engage, and it doesn’t really fit with Fódlan’s religion at any point in time, since that role should belong to Sothis, no matter the era. So it’s likely this character is a Nabatean, but the question is whether he’s full-blooded like Sothis or one of her children.
Three Houses states that Sothis appeared from the heavens and landed in Fódlan, which implies she was some kind of alien, and there could be others like her. The narrator could be another member of Sothis’s species who landed elsewhere in the world, or a descendant of one who did.
