We are a total of 541/1000000 of the way there.

And if you wish me to simplify this fraction so that the numerator and denominator are at the smallest, I shall demonstrate using 3 sets of steps.

First factorisation of both numbers

541 = 1 x 541 (it's a prime number)

1000000 = 2 x 500000
500000 = 2 x 250000
250000 = 2 x 125000
125000 = 2 x 62500
62500 = 2 x 31250
31250 = 2 x 15625
15625 = 5 x 3125
3125 = 5 x 625
625 = 5 x 125
125 = 5 x 25
25 = 5 x 5
5 = 1 x 5

Therefore, 1000000 = 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 or 2[sup]5[/sup] x 5[sup]5[/sup]

Now...... the only number that's in both the factorizations is 1.
1000000 = 1 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5
541 = 1 x 541

Therefore, the greatest/highest common factor/denominator is 1.

So, let's divide those numbers by 1.... blah blah blah.

541/1000000 simplified is 541/1000000

Haha! You actually read through all this only to find that it couldn't be simplified didn't you?

Also, at least this post has something other than just '541'.

I'm going to use Yoshian's weakest subject, and find out the average rate of posts (total posts over age of topic), and then use that to work out an estimation of when we'll reach 1,000,000 BASED ON that average.

This means, we've created 546 posts between that first post and this one, and that equals a total of 546 is 568 days.
That's equal to slightly under 1 post per day, or more specifically, 0.96 posts per day. Not a good speed IMO.

Therefore, if we started on 29 December 2010 - 01:17 AM, the 1,000,000th post, would be 999,999 times that average, after that date (it's 999,999 because you're not counting the 1st post).

This puts the estimated time of ... accomplishment at.... *drumroll*
