Hey guys. I think I found this forum from ForumPromotion. I spent a ridiculous amount of time on gaming forums in high school and now even with a lot less time I still miss them sometimes. I think because there's no algorithm forums are one of the few remaining places where I can still find interesting discussions and people talking like humans instead of top comment trolling.

In my spare time I'm working on a forum project. It's basically my take on how to create the best user experience for forums with 2026 tech.

I read the site rules and I have a question if someone can help me. If I wrote a game review for a game on my forum and share it is that considered spam? I want to make sure I understand the rules before posting.

Lastly, the world need more forums.

Hey thanks for responding! It's ok if the review is a link to a different site right? I mean I'll type out some words too so its not just gonna be a link and that's it lol. I just want to be extra sure cuz on the sites it mentions no links several times. I get it, a lot of spammers.

Unfortunately you can not link to another site BUT you can have your forum in your sig.

Thanks for answering! As per the forum rules, is the link rule still enforced after 25 posts or its just that in the Gamer's Chronicles section there's a special rule that's not allowed. If that is the case then I think I could just copy the review on text on here and tell people to check out sig if they want to see videos. Could still work!

It's best to keep links to personal sites to your signature, that way everyone will see them whenever you post! Welcome to the site, by the way! We have a partner forum, Nintendo 3DS Central! As long you are active (you don't have to be super active) and you don't leave the link and go you are fine

Thanks for answering. Yea looks like links under no circumstances are allowed. You guys should change the welcome message rule cuz I think there it still says after 25 posts you can do links.

Na man I think 25 is fine. Perhaps I'm totally misunderstanding here.

From the above responses I thought it meant no links are ever allowed regardless of how many posts you do. But the rules part in the welcome message says "Until you make 25 posts, you will not be able to post any links or edit your profile!" so I read that as links are allowed in posts after 25 posts?
