How to Upgrade to Windows 10 for Free

You have a stronger CPU then I have. I only have Pentium dual-core E5200, but I have more memory

I don't want to be limited when I browse the web. I want to open many tabs and watch videos on YouTube.
With 4 GB I can even open 10 tabs and my memory is only 70% according to the Windows task manager.
In case my desktop was limited while browsing, I would definitely buy a new one.

I can have a few tabs open on Firefox and Chrome. I think the 32bit version of Chrome and Firefox uses less Memory on Windows 10 32bit than the 64bit version of web browsers and Windows 10 64bit. I can watch YouTube videos pretty well.

Good, so I guess you also don't need an upgrade at least for now.

Amazing how long a desktop can last compering to a mobile phone or even a laptop.

I probably won't need to upgrade my computer for now. I feel web browser and other software makers maybemore likely to male their software more lightweight, and use less RAM and CPU power because more people with less money may more likely continue to use a slower computer, so my computer may be fast enough to use basic software for a few more years until almost everyone upgrade to faster computers.

Cause my laptop is too old like 9 years with integrated GPU so win 10 will just lag when i tried it so other than win 10 Linux is best option for me to use :3

Yeah especially for old laptop/PC xD

I agree Linux runs faster on older PCs with integrated GPUs. Linux also use less space on a hard drive.

I need to get myself a Linux. I find it slightly harder to use than Windows though.

I also find Linux slightly harder to use than Windows.

I use Ubuntu Linux and Linux Mint Operating Systems, and they seems easy to learn how to use after using the OS for a few hourd.

I find Linux breaks less often than Windows which can break after a bad Windows Update or Windows computer virus breaking Windows.

Isn't there like a quick guide on how to use it upon set up? I'm sure there is loads on the net and YouTube but still.

I think there is a help section on Ubuntu Linux and Linux Mint, and there is a quick guide.

There is also a short slideshow during instsllation which offer tips on using the basic features of Ubuntu.

Yeah I think the slideshow is the one that i'd find more helpful upon installation. That's the kind of guides we need.

It all depends on which distro you pick. Some are easier to use like Elementary OS, where you just gotta get used to a different layout than you’re used to on Windows.
Oh right! That doesn't sound half bad. I will have to look into it more, it'd be good to learn to use a Linux OS!
