Just read from Nx twitter, live action Cowboy Bebop series, is coming to Netflix:
NX on Twitter

Original anime creator Shinichiro Watanabe will he brought on to consult, too. The first episode is written by Thor: Ragnarok’s Chris Yost.

I feel like it might get ruined, like how they did with 'dragonball evolution'. hahah, i'm messin
In all seriousness, I prefer to watch the anime.

Netflix's live action Deathnote was also bad. Though with this one, no trailer yet so let's see if there's still hope lol

They should pick anime with 'REALISTIC' settings, there are tons of anime that has no superpower and weird clothes. Like Kimi no Nawa or at least Steins;Gate as sci-fi.

Read an update from Hollywood reporter:

John Cho will play Spike Spiegel, which the streamer has describing as "an impossibly cool 'cowboy' (bounty hunter) with a deadly smile, a wry wit and style to spare. He travels the solar system with his ex-cop partner, Jet, pursuing the future's most dangerous bounties with a combination of charm, charisma — and deadly Jeet Kune Do."

Mustafa Shakir is playing his partner, Jet Black, "one of the few honest cops in the solar system before an ultimate betrayal robbed him of all that he loved, forcing him into a vagabond life of hunting bounties to put food on the table. Jet is an inveterate jazz enthusiast and captain of the Bebop."

Daniella Pineda is playing Faye Valentine, an amnesiac thief and con artist, while Hassell is Vicious, Spiegel's ex-partner who is now out to kill him.

Yeah, well either way I am still willing to wait for the trailer and go from there...

Wow....that's some news.
But as it is related to space and such....I wonder how much quality we can expect from this.

Read more:
  • Ana: Tamara Tunnie. She’s described as a Martian club owner. This could be the live-action version of Annie, who owned a Mars convenience store and knows Spike. In the Netflix show, she’s described as a “Martian club owner.”
  • Chalmers: Geoff Stults. Netflix describes him as Jet’s former partner. In the anime, Fad worked with Jet as an Inter-Solar System Police officer.
  • Gren: Mason Alexander Park. Gren is an associate of Vicious and a lethal soldier who took part in the Titan War.
  • Lin: Ann Truong. One of the two twins working for Vicious. In the anime, he is one of the two Red Dragon twin men acting as something of a bodyguard for Vicious.
  • Mao: Rachel House. Here, Mao is described as a “White Tigers Capo.” In the anime, the White Tigers were the Red Dragon’s rivals, and Mao Yenrai was a Red Dragon Capo who helped both Spike and Vicious get their start.
  • Shin: Hoa Xuande. Again, one of the “twin henchmen” for Vicious alongside his sibling.

Read Cho's Interview from Vulture and CBR:

"I didn’t know it. The first thing I read and fell in love with was our episode 1 script, which I thought was really brilliant," "I thought, what the hell is this? And then I investigated the anime and just thought this was the most unique piece of entertainment I had seen in a long time: the combination of genres, characters, the music."

"I called Aneesh Chaganty, who directed Searching, to talk about it," Cho continued. "'Are you aware of a show called Cowboy Bebop? I’ve got this offer to do an adaptation of this anime.' I remember him telling me: 'You have to do it.' I didn’t realize what a big deal it was."

After that, Cho dove into the anime and was blown away by what he saw. "When I watched the anime, I was like, I wish I could have invented this," Cho said. "This is tremendous. It’s really interesting and smart and funny, and it’s all the things I wanna make. All the characters are coming from places of loss, and there are a lot of defense mechanisms to deal with that sense of loss that informs the whole show."

The actor also discussed how essential the music is to the unique nature of the series, which is why he wouldn't join the project until original composer Yoko Kanno was brought aboard. "I made sure that she was locked in before saying yes," Cho said. "I didn’t think the show should go forward without her involvement. [She is] too integral to the show. Our iteration minus her would suffer too much."
