I dont really know how to begin this.

Copper, my 14 year old pitbull has been suffering from arthritis and suspected kidney problems for a while now.

I've started to wake up earlier and earlier (4 AM, 5 AM) in hopes of helping him not have accidents. It's going to take its toll on me, and it seems as if he's at the end.

Next week, unless plans change, he will no longer be with us. I tried to deny it, but it's too late.

I wish I could say that I'm ready, but I'm not. I wish I had better choices, but I'm at the endpoint.

In the end, he is my brother, and I'm scared what my life is going to be like without him.

Man I'm really sorry to hear about your dog Copper. :( It absolutely sucks losing a pet, they're family. It's a hard decision, you don't want your buddy to leave but you don't want him to suffer either. RIP Copper, you're in my thoughts and prayers MisterBobbyPin. Think of all the happy times you've had together.

Yeah, that’s really a tough one. I went through something similar a few years back and even now I still can't seem to forget the sound of her paws on the floor when she’d come looking for me. It’s really heartbreaking and I understand that feeling too well, but at the end of the day, giving them peace feels like the last and probably the best act of love we can offer.

It's rough, but after Wednesday, I've been waiting mostly. Watching him having seizures was worse than taking him to the vet honestly.

I'll miss him, they're probably putting him down as we speak.

Yeah the dog I mentioned previously had the same thing, but she had multiple clusters which led to her being put down. You're in my prayers.
