My computer got locked! D:

OK i get the homegroup thing now. I think the virus still hacked it though, and it wont let me access a repair install.
I haven't done much with Windows 7, but from the looks of things I can't really get a good idea of how the heck to do one, but eh, that's just me. Things have changed since XP I guess, rofl. Just make sure you don't kill the computer when you're formatting it. And also, you'll lose pretty much everything to do with the computer, so keep in mind that every single thing will have to be installed again, such as hardware, modem/router, etc.

Well the modem, I never even connected it.the guy that installed it did. I connected the router easily though. I hope another guy doesnt have to fix it heh

You should be able to easily just plug the modem and router to the computer and just enter in your Internet settings (that you have written down somewhere I hope...) and it'll work again by rights, the computer should detect and it and it should be up and running again.

Good to see you have a solution. I was going to ask: Did you get the option to create a back up disc the first time you booted up the PC? Maybe you burned one. That should work, I think.

I really should make one of those myself, heh.

Just so you know... we have 2 Wiis, 2 3DS's, 2 DSis and 2 laptops, as well as this PC, all connected to the internet via a wireless router.
I have unplugged the router (as in literally pulled the power cord(s) out of the actual modem or router (or both) itself, while leaving it plugged in, and while it's still on... and plugged it back in. It does NOT make you lose your settings... all that happens is that... you don't have an internet connection while it's not plugged in. Plugging it back in, simply connects to the internet. THerefore, you'd have NOTHING to worry about if you unplugged your router/modem or both... however, what I fail to understand is... how "unplugging your router/modem" even had anything to do with what the problem was.

Also, Kirby Leaf? Why is it that whenever I ask for a screenshot of your screen, you can never give one?

Because I dont currently have a camera or phone,or anything that can take pictures besides my 3ds and dsi. Sorry bout that
