So, let's discuss some rules to impose, shall we? First, clauses:

Species Clause- only one of each Pokemon per team (seriously, having to mention this at all is silly, but people do it!)

Item Clause- only one of each type of item (no giving Leftovers on everything!)

Evasion Clause- no using attacks or items that directly up your evasion. This includes Double Team, Minimize, Bright Powder, and Lax Incense (if you have a question about legitimacy, then just ask).

OHKO Clause- no using on hit knock out moves such as Guillotine, Fissure, Horn Drill, and Sheer Cold.

Sleep Clause- you may only put one of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep. Rest does not count for this.

Moody Clause- no using a Pokemon with the ability Moody. Simple enough.

Random Bans- No using Drizzle and Swift Swim on the same team. No using Sky Drop (due to glitch).

Banned Pokemon- Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem (these are all Banned by official Pokemon tournament rules) as well as Speed Boost Blaziken, Wobbuffet, Excadrill, Garchomp, and Thundurus

I might be willing to accept arguments for using Excadrill, Garchomp, and Thundurus as long as the team is not abusing weather. I think they are generally banned due to weather making them able to sweep whole teams.

These were all I could find, but I can always make some more.

And can Garchomp be allowed? He's one of the few dragon pokemon I have that's lvl 100.

Like I said, I guess without using weather it might be okay. I'd like to get some more feedback from others to see if everyone thinks it is fair though first. Also, we shouldn't reuse gen 5 badges, but as long as all the badges have a similar design aesthetic then it should be fine. I liked the ghost one best of those!

Anyways, all of those are made by request, and I may change them to your likings.

spoonysage, are u serious dude? your taking the fun out of it. We should be able to use moves like minimize and such. I think we should ALL agree on the rules? And what i was thinking is is that we can have a tournament amongst ourselves to see who gets what spot. It will decide who has to be 1st gym leader, second gym leader, and so on. then the top 4 players can battle it out to see who gets what place in the elite 4. I think people who challenge us should go in order because that makes it more traditional and fun. It will also give the challenger something to be proud of if he/she makes it very far. Cmon dude, we could make it so much better! And as for me, no one take my spot. i'm going as fast as i can.

The whole point of this thread was to establish things like rules. Also, moves like minimize do NOT make things more fun. I once had a match that took 2 hours just because the person kept putting my Pokemon to sleep and using minimize until at best I would have a one in ten chance of hitting him. He still didn't stand a chance, but it delayed the match so long I stopped playing random challenges and only played friends for a while.

If other people agree that we need an order, then sure, let's compete, but with set type teams, the tournament would be very biased from the beginning.

It's just that limiting the moves people can use limits your skill as well. I swear if i use hypnosis or something i wont drag it out.
That's why they limit you to putting to sleep only one of the opponent's Pokemon at a time. You can still use Hypnosis. Just, since they redid sleep mechanics this generation, it got a bit out of hand.

Besides, if I am using Ghost types, then rules like that really hurt me the most. I had to completely retrain a new Froslass last time I entered a tournament.
