Xerneas has been revealed in a screenshot. I'm not sure if it's a part of the stage or a playable character. Only time will tell,

It was announced in E3 this year that the new Smash will use some figures called amiibo, if you touch the Wii U game pad with these figures a character representing the figure will show up in battle and fight for you. Amiibos can also fight against you or fight between other amiibos to level up. You can also customize the moveset of your amiibo to give it a unique fighting style.
