OOC: I've been waiting for at least someone else to jump in, but they haven't. The only problem with what you said, was Sandy Castle is a beach, not a desert. As soon as you fix up that tiny detail John I'll submit a new post, because the rest of it is fine. Nice to see you adding a dark element in the game, heh.

GM: IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PLAYERS. The rules have been changed, all changes are in red, and will stay so for about one week. Please read them before continuing. Besides these changes, Coins are currently being re-considered, please stay tuned to learn whether or not I keep them in.

Jace finally comes to, Stunned that he is now in a cell. Of course being the way he is he immediately tried unlocking the door with magic and even smashing it open with the infinity blade that h managed to steal back from a guard who was dumb enough to walk into his cell, but still to no prevail...Then a guard comes in and grabs him. jace impaled the guard with his blade and snuck into the crowd of prisoners. His memory goes fuzzy, then suddenly he wakes up in a mysterious beach noticing several people who oddly ignored him. As he wanders around the beach he comes across a sort of, Portal... He has a sudden gut instint to hide from some dark entity...

OOC: Unfortunately...I can't continue the game...School is starting and my schedule is really tight. So yeah..
My character escapes and makes it back home on a firework.

RP: Jace feels a sudden magical surge of power and turns around to notice a giant Shade who proceeds to erragentley challenge him to a melee dual. Jace parries his blows and stabs the demonic beast in the heart, Granting him true death.

OOC: First ShadowArcues, I didn't approve yet. You've been approved now though so no worries. Just wait next time. Secondly: Dev, that's cool. If you ever want in again just make up a new character, alright?

OOC: Whoops, sorry about that.
Sandy castle was set up by errant  members of the Litorian order to pilfer the naval ships of the 2 countries the sea divided. Again, sorry about that. However, it was eventually taken over by mercenaries, and eventuall the dark force from the north. And it still contains the seal.

Socery is not one of the Elements, please choose an Element. Perhaps swap around Element and Special Ability to make things easier. Also, you get 10 coins for signing up.

I can't approve a sign-up when I'm asleep now can I? Heh. Good to see you PM'd me about it because that is the fastest way to get me to read this, but I check it about once per day, so there's no need to post several times to get my attention. Just post up the profile and send me a PM or VM, and then leave it for me to reply to. Fix up the Element and Coins and it's fine.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The rules are about to be changed. I'll update this post and the first post as well as make a new post in the game and even notify all current players the rules have changed via PM. I will NOT detail what rules have been changed in the PM you will need to come to this topic.

Where does it say I approved it? I said it was fine, not actually approved. You should wait first and let me review the changes and actually say 'approved' before posting, I did so with everyone else, especially since the game has already begun and I was going to send you a PM on how we can get you in.

OOC: C'mon Y64M, a great torrent of darkness is engulfing your character. You have to do something.

OOC: Right, I have more time on my hands now, so I'm going to set the history of Sandy Castle in context (If that's ok with Y64M)
The Legend of Sandy Castle:
In the time before time, when these lands were dry and barren, there was nothing. No people, no sea, no animals, nothing. Only vast sandy lands, undulating over millions of miles with no visible landmarks. However, this was unappealing to the Council of Deities. "We do not wish to rule over nothing," they said. "We want to fill the hollows with water and cap the mounds with snow." And so, the seas and mountains were created. However, the deities were not so easily pleased. "Where there is no snow and no water, the land is still sandy. We do not wish this to be the case" So they created trees and grass, and covered the remaining parts of the land. However, the Devil was not pleased. "All this life makes me SICK!!" he exclaimed. "All these plants must not remain there forever!" And so he banished the plants from the east of the lands, and created the desert. The Deities were very displeased. "How dare he spoil our beautiful lands," they said. "He must be punished." And so they sealed the Devil in a place beneath the ground, a place called Hell. Then the Council said: "Our lands are empty. We desire subjects to rule." And they created every species that populates the land today. However, the Devil was sly, and tricked a human into breaking the seal that held him captive. "If none of this can be mine," he proclaimed, "then it can't be yours either!!" Nd so the Devil placed evil into the souls of the creatures the Deities created. The Deities were displeased and sought to seal the Devil away for good. However, as long as evil existed in the world, the Devil was tied to it, and so could not be sealed away. But the Deities devised a plan, and tricked the Devil into sleeping by a fault in the rift between heaven, hell and the land. The Devil still lies in slumber there today, apparently.
Now we journey from legend to history.
Sandy castle was originally a temple for the Goddess Janit, built on the seal that bore her mark. She was Goddess of the ocean and the sands, and was head of the Council of Deities. It was built by the nearby Litorian monastery, and monks commonly went there to pray. However, as the two kingdoms which the sea divided got more powerful, the temptation of piracy was too much, and the temple became a stronghold under Abbot Pessim. However, the fortress was under the watchful eye of errant mercenaries from the beginning and only ten years after the monks turned pirate was the fortress captured by Oculus. The fortress was then used as a camp and a stronghold for mercenaries who were not in service or favored the life of piracy. But, only a year before the events of our legend take place, a tribe of Demon Summoners from the north overran the castle with a combination of sorcery and spirits. Their power bolstered by the seal of the Devil, they are nigh on unstoppable. And I'd say we can guess their ultimate aim...

So, I think I've covered all the bases and provided a pretty decent sub-plot. Sorry for the archaic style at the start, I wanted it to sound legend-y...

OOC: I don't mind, but this was supposed to be just a generic world with no significance to anything whatsoever. I'd prefer it if you PM'd these ideas before shoving them in the topic, heh.

GM: In spite of John's great backstory, I would like to re-establish that 1: The Shadoo suddenly showed up and are in no way affiliated with the Devil and 2: Neither are the Robo-Pirates, who came from another world to inheirt more slaves after their last attempt failed rather miserably.
Also, I'll add a new section to the rules about PM'ing before posting things such as the backstory behind locations. Try to leave the details to the one who created the location. How much detail they want to go into should be their own choice. However feel free to ask them if you have a good idea. And no John, I am not shunning you. It'd be a good idea and I should've stated it, heh.

RP: Shyril hears a familiar voice, but is suddenly surrounded on all sides by strange dark clouds. "I think I may have put my foot in it this time...." he mutters. The clouds swallow him, and Shyril blacks out.

But only a second later, he regains conciousness. 'Where... Where am I? This doesn't look like Sandy Castle...' Indeed it isn't. There are strange purple and black clouds filled with lightning all over the place. Nothing else.

Except for something that is approaching him. It looks huge and menacing, but Shyril is unable to see what it is, as it's completely obscured by the darkness. But it slowly starts to come into view.

Of course it looked black, that's it's main body colour. There was white on the creature's belly and it has a huge nose. And as it gets closer, it seems to have a small tuft of red hair on it's head.

Shyril, realising he's on the ground, tries to stand rather quickly. "Wait, I'm a friend..." The being says.

Shyril of course says nothing. "I'm Shade. A Yoshi. You are...?"

Now Shyril feels obliged to say something. "Shyril, a Guilmon... Where are we?"

"Subspace."

"Sub...Space?"

"Yep. It's a strange place and we need to get you the heck oughtta here before you can never leave."

"Well in that case what do I do?" Shyril asks. Now he HAS to get out!

"Gimme your hand. I'll try my best, but I've never done this before in here and I can't work it long distances so chances are we'll end up wherever the heck you where last." Shyril holds out his hand, willing to take a risk. Shade grasps his hand, holds up his free one, and shouts "CHOAS..... CONTROL!!!"

In mere seconds both of them are standing right in front of the castle's entrance. "How did you do that?" Shyril asks.

Shade is laughing hysterically. "I don't believe it. IT WORKED! I'm oughtta there! FREE!" He turns to Shyril and answers his question in more detail then expected. "About a month ago, I got caught up somewhere and managed to get myself stuck inside Subspace. I knew what it was and that if I didn't get out I would be stuck there, but despite this, nothing I tried worked. Not even Chaos Control. To have it suddenly work is... Well it feels amazing to see something that isn't purple and black. Finally."

"Uh... Ok then Shade..." Shyril says, sorta grasping and sorta not grasping what he's just said. The past few hours had been full of surprises.

"Where will you go now?" Shyril asks.

"I actually don't know, heh. Now I'm out I have no idea."

"Why not come with me? I can kinda bring you up to speed a bit..." Shyril says.

Shade's eyes almost sparkle. "Really? Please?" "Sure." Says Shyril. He then remembers hearing a familiar voice and puts the voice with the face. "John's in there somewhere!" He shouts. "Who?" Shade asks. "I'll explain, but we should go in that castle and find him." Shyril says.

Shade follows him inside, listening to Shyril's story...

RP: Sorry about that Y64M. I got a bit... carried away to say the least. However, you shouldn't put stock in the "Legend", it is only a myth. So, do we take my story to be true? Or do we discount it?

RP: John keeps calling out, but to no avail. Shyril was gone. Suddenly, the darkness disappeared and the area was filled with light once more. Before him stands 2 bald, robed figures. The rich velvet of their robes poorly conceal their grey, iron blades. However, John hesitates from attacking them. Their eyes are filled with a multitude of colours, indicating that they are posessed. They beckon him, and turn as one. The great wooden doors to the castle open slowly. "Ahhh...," says John. "I suppose the phrase 'Take me to your leader would be appropriate?" And with that he follows the sorcerers into the castle.
The castle was no different than when he was last here. Only everything was coated in a fine layer of dust. The two men stop walking. John puts his hand lightly on the hilt of his sword. Quickly, the doors swing open. And even John, a seasoned mercenary, recoiled at what he saw...

OOC: Heh, you RP'd when you where meant to OOC, don't worry about it. No, it's there now so we'll take it as true (I'm not one to waste a good back-story, and that was pretty darn captivating if I say so myself!). And I just wanted to re-establish the facts about the Shadoo and Robo-Pirates to avoid confusion against others.

RP: A great dark purple ball pulsated gently in the centre of the room. It was held in place by a series of grey and yellow electricity generators. Perodically, a crackle of electricity was emitted from the machines. John knows what it is. It's a Subspace generator. A machine that creates a rift into the space between Heaven, Hell and Earth. And he also knows how dangerous it is to create instability in the fabric of reality around this area. But, John realises what he has to do. He flings his sword at one of the generators. His sword slices straight through it, and the Subspace ball disappears. Then, his hosts became not quite as amiable as they once were. They advance on him, pulling out their dull blades. John clicks his fingers non-chalantly, and their swords disappear. Unenchanted blades were a God-send for anyone who was remotely familiar with the art of Transmaterialisation. Then, the two men begin to chant. Now, summoning a demon was difficult at the best of times, but doing it in battle with no preparation was nigh on suicide. Time for another trick he learnt. He claps his hands twice. It seems to have no affect, but those with a keen eye would have noticed the mens' shadows becoming upright. Soon, their shadows were black replicas of the two men themselves. "Occidate!!" John shouts, and the shadows break their masters' necks. John claps his hands again, and the two 'umbrae' dissolve. "Now" he says. "Time to destroy that generator."

The above post was made on the 1st of February. It is now the 15th and no new posts have been made. This is discouraging, I was waiting for someone else besides me and John to post next. Besides, I found the rules of this RPG... Rather difficult... to understand anyway. So, due to inactivity AND some rather ridiculous rules, this role-playing game has know been closed. Thanks for playing!
