PSP Was Doomed From Launch

only 50? I take it you got bad tastes?
No, I have the same taste as you, but you probably get shovelware? I don't, and I also don't intend on spending hundreds of dollars on other games. And also, games that have duplicates (i.e. Mega Man Star Force Leo, Pegasus, and Dragon) are considered one game.

I just wish they get a better memory system for it, and change the sleep mode so it can't be accidentally used instead of off.
I agree with both, but I hate the DS's memory system far more. Why can't I save them on the SD card for the DSi, and why not add it to the DS Lite? :( Sadface.

I hoe they are able to make major improvements with the PSP 2, or it will just be another fail like the PSP Go.

I don't think the PSP was doomed from launch at all. Rather I think for being Sony's first foray into the handheld market they did pretty good. (They sold over 60 Million PSPs... Which is not an insignificant number. Especially since, according to PSuni no other competitor in the handheld market with Nintendo has been able to do that.)

They do need more games though, let's not deny that. (More AAA games like MGS: Peace Walker.) If they can start hammering out great games for the PSP/PSP2 then things will certainly look up for them.

Yes, they did make some fumbles. (The lack of a second analogue stick being one). But now if they improve on their fumbles on the PSP2 (which if the rumours are correct, then they may have...) Then I don't see a problem with the PSP, in fact it will likely become a real rival for the 3DS/Nintendo.

not if it fails to give hard copy games.

I think that people do like the quickness for downloading short simple games and add on DLC... But anything larger like full game size I would think they'd want an actual disc/medium. I mean if you're going to pay good money for something you'd want something tangible for it right? (I know I do anyway... Which is why I don't like the PSPgo. And I do think it was a bad idea.)

Though for the PSP2 I sort of hope they take a leaf out of Nintendo's book and use SD/Micro-SD cards to put their games on. (Plus have a second slot for the memory stick to save games. And for additional help, have a built in memory of like 8 gigabytes for save space so people can save to it or save to the external memory cards. This way they could load 2 games in, one to each SD slot and save to the internal memory. Which would be really good so people wouldn't have to mess around with switching games while travelling. They could just press the home button to quit the game, press down on the XMB and select the second game to start.)But that may just be wishful thinking.
