Hello everyone! Here's our current game dev project we are working on. It's a post-apocalyptic civilization simulator, where you manage your settlement to become a global empire! We'll be releasing the full game in Fall 2020 on Steam, and would love to hear back some first thoughts from you guys!?

Here's a bit more about Simpocalypse:
A COMBINATION OF RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND COMBATS FOR WORLD DOMINATION
The world everyone knew is gone. A player is set in the post-apocalyptic era as one of the lucky survivors, now gathering basic resources to survive and expand the post-apocalyptic settlement.

Random challenges, weather conditions might change players' settlement strategy though time, and some citizens would immediately need to focus more on the maintenance of settlement, to prevent fires, floods, viruses, or other unexpected events that might hit the settlement through time. The combination of great maintenance, resource scavenging, citizens' health, relatively high-rates of happiness, and great ratios on productivity and efficiency, might help to build up a great army of soldiers that will further help expand the territories of players' initial settlement.
Well, as the resources are limited, a territory can become less interesting to stay for longer periods, as without proper resources, the settlement and its citizens might suffer.

CIVILIZATION ADVANCEMENTS WITH MASSIVE RESEARCH TREE UNLOCKS
For settlement expansion, also new buildings, skills, and perks are needed. All those are hidden within the massive Research tree – so players can advance their settlements into the new skies making it more powerful and unique, and also to survive the global expansion!

TIME TRAVEL FEATURES

The game evolves through time and differs from other post-apocalyptic games with a unique feature of Time Lapse, with which players control/optimize their time better by pausing current time states, or speed up on game parts they feel like they need to. Time is stored even when the player is not playing, which can be later used to speed up the game and get back to the best parts!

Simpocalypse just turned into Alpha. Still a lot to work on, but we are proud on how the game is evolving lately, as there are still a lot of options to turned the game into, (until its full release on Steam later this year).

Here's the updated Alpha trailer, hope you guys enjoy it :

We're currently searching for a few extra game testers:) to provide a sincere feedback (the more sincere the better :p), to be able for us to improve the game further in the right way.

The colonization process is now almost fully ready for the updated conquering, and we are adding the latest polishing effects for the update to be ready for the EA launch.

Haven't posted here for quite a long now, as we've been fully busy working on the game, as the Early Access is fast approaching.
We'll be releasing Simpocalypse this December, 15th, so make sure to add it to your wishlist (in case you find it interesting; would mean a world to us, as it motivates us to work further on the games!):

Meanwhile, we've also added a few extra languages, so the game would now be available in 10 different languages (ENG, IT, DE, SP, KR, ZN, PL, NL, PT, FR)... We'd still like to add some additional ones, but will see if we manage to find enough time, as our small team is currently divided into tons of latest tasks we want to accomplish before entering the EA.

The game is surely something unique in the genre, and I'm sure you haven't played similar game to this one yet! :p

That's why it would also be great to hear any of your thoughts on the game, onboarding process, or anything else you'd like to share with us?

After tons of development hours invested in this game from our team, we have now managed to release the game into Early Access on Steam!
This is our debut game on Steam, as we've been working before on the web-games mostly, so this kind of change required tons of extra time, learning new stuff, adjusting it to new requirements, and as we are a small team working behind this project we needed to work late hours, also weekends to release the game this December.

We are thrilled working further on Simpocalypse and polishing it further through the Early Access. We decided to go out with a much lower price than we planned to go once everything is fully finished, and once more content is added (even though you have now more than 100 hours of potential gameplay, if using all game's features).
We also decided to add a special Discount on the Launch week, as a matter of a small gratitude to all our supporters, some also from this forum! Thanks everyone for all the support, and we wish you lots of fun playing Simpocalypse!

I literally had like... an entirely different thing going into it looking at the title of your game LOL
We got lots of feedback like yours So, we decided to adjust 2 things (to make it clearer now):
- changed the name from Simpocalypse into SimPocalypse
- updated the logo from the previous one into this one:
sp_logo_new_white.png

*BTW: The name of the game is combined of Simulation + Apocalypse
Do you guys find it clearer after the updates? Or is it still confusing?
