So what would you say was Nintendo's most stupid decision?

Thinking Pilot Wings and Steel Diver were good launch titles for the 3DS. I dunno if they're bad games, but there's no getting around the fact that the console launch was a screw up. We'll never know, but there's probably a few things they could've done to better support it.

Okay, I don't know what classes as 'biggest mistake', but there are a few things I wished they'd done differently. Whether it would've been better or worse for them, I don't claim to know.

Releasing the 3ds with just one circlepad. The fact that the circlepad pro needs to exist in the first place is proof that developers wanted dual stick controls.

Not adding a second circle pad to the 3DS XL No GBA VC for 3DS
It'll come eventually. Just give it another year or two.
Actually I don't care about the lack of the second circle pad, I'm just poking fun at those that are like "RAWR Y U NO ADD SECOND CIRCLEPAD??? NO BUY!!!"

... you mean me right?

Proof that Capcom wanted them, at least. It was designed all-but exclusively for Monster Hunter, and was indeed probably part of the deal for Nintendo to get exclusivity in Monster Hunter 3G and Monster Hunter 4.

Not adding a color pallet for gameboy games on the 3ds all you get is original gameboy black and white and the other option is green and black, at least make the games that had a build in pallet for when you use it with the Super Gameboy, have color…
Are you sure you are playing gameboy color games? Or are you saying original gameboy games should have their own pallette added?
Because the major difference between gameboy and gameboy color cartridges is that the gameboy cartridges contain their information in .gb form, color has .gbc. The difference is gameboy color (.gbc) contains information on the colors to be used, while original gameboy has no information on color. The Gameboy Color added a chosen color to the original gameboy games instead of being black and white (like green as mentioned). Gameboy Color games on the other hand had all the color information needed making it as colorful as needed while original gameboy is only black and white and the Gameboy Color itself is adding that green, as would the 3DS be.

If, rather, you meant that the original gameboy games should have just as much color, unfortunately, that is not as easy, and would require much more work than just emulation.

I think he just meant that he wants a custom 4 colour palette was available, which is what the Super GameBoy thing for SNES had, not actually adding colour similar to that of GBC games. Donkey Kong on GameBoy is a good example of a GameBoy game built for Super GameBoy that actually had some extra colour in it (I think). All other games just had the option to alter the 4 different shades that the GameBoy offered.

Game & Watch-e series

This series was supposed to be released on November 17th 2003, but Nintendo canceled everything at the last minute, and the revised release date was never disclosed. The series would have offered over 25 games, sold as randomized packs of 5 e-Cards, including some rare holographic cards. This highly-anticipated series was "unofficially" promised by Nintendo from the very beginning of the e-Reader's life cycle, but they kept pushing back the release date until it fell into oblivion. Most e-Reader owners agree that this is one of the lowest blows Nintendo has ever pulled on its fanbase...

That's actually one of the smartest decision that NIntendo has made. I mean it's a drawing app. They have much more important things to attend to than some stupid drawing thing that 1% of Nintendo fans want.

I have a couple.

NOT releasing the XL's at the same time as the originals so consumers can choose which one they prefer.
NOT porting over Donkey Kong 64 over to DS or 3DS.
NOT adding a second joystick on the 3DS and releasing that ugly add on to compensate.

*sigh* if the 3DS did not have a circle pad AT ALL, people would still complain.

Why does everyone want a second joystick? Isn't one enough?

Oh there is more than 1% of Nintendo fans who want it.
No. 1% Nintendo fans. The rest are just noobs who are too lazy to use pencil and paper.
