So I just saw the new trailer with the fixed Sonic lol this time the design is right:
 
Still could go either way as far as quality, but I still think Jim Carrey will carry the movie.
 
So I read from dualshockers and indiewire that the redesign of Sonic costed them around $5 million:

According to IndieWire, the actual cost to redesign was closer to only $5 million. This information comes from a source who stated that most of the visual effects work in the film wasn’t complete in the first place before Paramount decided to delay the movie until 2020 to overhaul Sonic’s design. Seemingly, the only finalized work for Sonic on the film that had been completed was what was shown in the initial trailer for the movie. Because of this, the decision to change Sonic’s look was easier, and cheaper, than what many may have initially expected.

My hubby actually wants to see this movie. I wouldn't have pegged him to see this but he says he thinks it would be fun to watch.

I just saw the movie today and I thought it was pretty good. I like it as equally as I liked Detective Pikachu. I don't know if I'd watch it again for fun, but I would totally watch it if they released the whole movie with bad Sonic.

Also, I can't believe they set up for a sequel, but I'm pretty hyped for it.
