Holy crap, it's GG!

Dear lord, 10 pages?!?! How did this happen o.O

Anywho, John Lennon died today. Manly tears were shed. ;_;

I can only take so much transcendental poetry before wanting to blow my brains out. Seriously.

"FACING west, from California's shores,
Inquiring, tireless, seeking what is yet unfound,
I, a child, very old, over waves, towards the house of maternity, the
land of migrations, look afar,
Look off the shores of my Western Sea—the circle almost circled;
For, starting westward from Hindustan, from the vales of Kashmere,
From Asia—from the north—from the God, the sage, and the hero,
From the south—from the flowery peninsulas, and the spice islands;
Long having wander'd since—round the earth having wander'd,
Now I face home again—very pleas'd and joyous;
(But where is what I started for, so long ago?)"

Good poetry, but I absolutely hate trying to write an essay on it (and essays on other similar poetry).

Putting it simply...
Poetry essays = stupid.

As one of my friends said... "people write things for others to enjoy it, rather than having people write essays and stuff about it... It wrecks the whole idea of poetry and even some novels."

EXACTLY. Walt Whitman wrote poetry so that others could appreciate it, not for students to dissect his work like a frog in Biology.

Leave for a math meet, look how many posts were made. JEEZ, is the activity here when I'm not?! >_<

Wasn't the guy who killed John Lennon "inspired" by Catcher in the Rye? (God awful book, BTW.)

Yeah, somehow... From what I heard about the book I cant see how it could inspire anyone to kill. <_>
