It's almost like the absence of a generational gap means that retro has more charm to it for someone who has only seen new games.

I still remember being blown away by N64 games. Now a new console comes out and it's almost the same thing but longer loading times.

I agree I'm glad I was able to experience going from 16-bit games to 32 bit and beyond that! It was so cool playing my Genesis and then getting a PS1 and being blown away by the 3D graphics.
