Well digitally Tales Of Arise is no 1, but not bad with the game on no 5 slot digitally in Japan. In any event I hope The PS5 version will have higher sales. With the 2nd game already in the works too probably people are holding off too wating for the second game.

which game did they say would kill the series if it failed to get good sales?

Well the second game is already in the works and Kondo is planning for a third game, worst case scenario there will at least be another game with the new MC i think. So 2 games is the worst case scenario with the new mc imo.

If the total sales of the 2 games is not good enough then I think there won't be a third game with the new MC.
