The GizmoTab is what a tablet would be like if everything was turned into a game.

I feel the home screen game shown in the video would be better as a handheld game. But, the tablet does look like a good tablet for kids.

I also prefer giving kids a console like ths SNES as well because there is no touchscreen which may break. Android consoles like the Nvidia Shield TV maybe good as well since there are no cartridges, and discs to lose, and the games are cheaply priced, or free most of the times.

There are also those pre-installed games consoles like the Nintendo Mini with a lot of pre-installed games on the console.
